How we decide
Four rules, and they are enforced in code
Every one of these is a decision that was expensive to make and would be easy to quietly walk back, so each is held by a test rather than by good intentions.
An estimate says it is an estimate
A number the system worked out never gets rendered like a number it observed. It carries its own confidence, in words, and it opens its working when you click it. An estimate dressed as a fact is a number somebody quotes a customer from.
A cost of zero is a claim
Where a cost cannot be derived, the event says which input is missing instead of quietly counting it as nothing. A P&L with an unpriced category is not a complete P&L, and it should not look like one.
Your customer sees a shape and a time
A booked private job publishes as availability, never as a name and a venue. That is enforced where the data is read, not by what a page chooses to render.
Every feature is on every plan
Plans differ on volume, not capability. Nothing you can see in the product is behind a tier you have to ask about, and no price on this site is a starting-from.
