Embeddable widget

Live Menu Widget

The menu most caterers publish is a PDF from eighteen months ago. This one is the menu you actually sell, so changing a dish changes the website.

What it does

On your own site, doing real work

Renders your published menu — sections, dishes, descriptions, dietary marks and prices where you publish them — from the same records the quote widget prices against. One edit, every surface.

01 · their site

Your own website

Wherever you already send people. One block of HTML, pasted once.

02 · the widget/embed/menu/<your-key>
03 · your account

Where the result lands

In CaterCloud, against the customer, on the same calendar and pipeline as everything else.

01One snippet, no plugin. It works on any site that lets you paste HTML.

02The key in the URL is public by design and scoped to one widget config — it is an address, not a credential.

03It shows what you have published. A package you have deliberately kept off the public menu stays off it, and a dish with no price shows no price rather than a guess.

04Nothing here needs a CaterCloud-built website. If you have one, the same widget is a section instead of a paste.

Questions

What people ask before pasting it

Where does the code go?
Anywhere you can paste HTML — Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Webflow, a hand-built site. It is one snippet and it does not need a plugin.
Do I need a CaterCloud website to use it?
No. These are built to go on the site you already have. If you do build your site with CaterCloud the widget is a section instead of a paste, but the widget is the same one.
What is the key in the snippet?
Your own embed key, which CaterCloud generates and shows you next to the copy button. The one above is a placeholder — the rest of the snippet is exactly what you will paste.
What can it not do?
It shows what you have published. A package you have deliberately kept off the public menu stays off it, and a dish with no price shows no price rather than a guess.
