Why this one is a script
A quote widget pasted as a bare iframe works perfectly and reports zero conversions.
src/lib/embeds/loaderScript.ts, decision 0067 §6 — the attribution bridge, the generate_lead listener and the auto-resize all live in the PARENT page. On a site we do not render, none of that exists.
It takes enquiries exactly as it should, so nothing looks wrong. What it cannot do is tell your ad account that one of them came from an ad — which is the number you are optimising against. The loader is what carries that across, and it is why this snippet is two lines rather than one.

- Where does the code go?
- Anywhere you can paste HTML — Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Webflow, a hand-built site. It is one snippet and it does not need a plugin.
- Do I need a CaterCloud website to use it?
- No. These are built to go on the site you already have. If you do build your site with CaterCloud the widget is a section instead of a paste, but the widget is the same one.
- What is the key in the snippet?
- Your own embed key, which CaterCloud generates and shows you next to the copy button. The one above is a placeholder — the rest of the snippet is exactly what you will paste.
