Embeddable widget

Catering Shop Widget

For the products rather than the jobs. A box composes out of the same menu items a package does, and checks out with payment and stock behind it.

Generated by the same function that writes the snippet in your settings, so this is the shape you will actually paste.

What it does

On your own site, doing real work

Sells boxes and recurring orders from your own site. A box borrows your existing menu items rather than duplicating them, so a dish edited once is edited everywhere it appears.

01 · their site

Your own website

Wherever you already send people. One block of HTML, pasted once.

02 · the widget/embed/shop/<your-slug>
03 · your account

Where the result lands

In CaterCloud, against the customer, on the same calendar and pipeline as everything else.

DrawingCatering Shop Widget — where it sits
Sourcesrc/app/(embed)/embed/shop/[key]

01One snippet, no plugin. It works on any site that lets you paste HTML.

02The key in the URL is public by design and scoped to one widget config — it is an address, not a credential.

03A box is a product, not an event. It does not roster anybody, close a date, or price per head.

04Nothing here needs a CaterCloud-built website. If you have one, the same widget is a section instead of a paste.

Questions

What people ask before pasting it

Where does the code go?
Anywhere you can paste HTML — Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Webflow, a hand-built site. It is one snippet and it does not need a plugin.
Do I need a CaterCloud website to use it?
No. These are built to go on the site you already have. If you do build your site with CaterCloud the widget is a section instead of a paste, but the widget is the same one.
What is the key in the snippet?
Your own embed key, which CaterCloud generates and shows you next to the copy button. The one above is a placeholder — the rest of the snippet is exactly what you will paste.
What can it not do?
A box is a product, not an event. It does not roster anybody, close a date, or price per head.
